Summary

Child's hat. White cotton, crown lined with loosely-woven white cotton crown in two sections, the top section gathered and worked with gathered tucks, straight section forming sides worked with horizontal lines of piping. Lining of sides of crown loose and gathered with drawstring at upper edge. Wide flat brim in one straight section, gathered at join with crown, stiffened with concentric lines of pipng and edged with openwork embroidered frill (broderie anglaise). Cotton band with made-up bow at CB and rosette at CF.
