Black corded silk, embroidered. Lined with white silk. Side low neckline. Fastening centre front with pink ribbon ties. embroidered centre back and front with sprays of roses in coloured silks and chenille. Tabbed waist. Various outlining in red chenille with yellow silk dots and pink chenille with green silk dots. Sleeve consisting of double puff over shoulder. Possibly part of a fancy costume, it has peasant girl overtones.
