Summary

Public: Ovoid jug with cylindrical neck and angled handle, white earthenware with a pearlware glaze, decorated in resist with leafy sprays in white picked out in yellow and green overglaze enamels, against metallic silver lustre ground. Private: Ovoid jug on spreading footring, tapering to waisted neck with inset sparrow beak lip, and shaped strap loop handle with outer spur at lower terminal. White earthenware body with a blue pearlware glaze, with resist decoration against metallic silver lustre ground, of scrolling leafy plants and tendrils, several leaves picked out in green and yellow overglaze enamel. Neck decorated with simple leafy border between two plain white bands, handle with single vertical stripe.
