Summary

Public: Ovoid jug with cylindrical neck and angled handle, white earthenware with a pearlware glaze, decorated in resist with wavy diagonal lines and floral stems in white, against metallic silver lustre ground. Private: Ovoid jug tapering to everted foot, with cylindrical neck, inset sparrow beak lip and shaped strap loop handle with outer slight spurs at terminals. White earthenware body with a blue pearlware glaze, with resist decoration against metallic silver lustre ground, of diagonal wavy lines and spots to body, plain white band to foot, flowering leafy border to neck, and two vertical stripes down handle. Plain white interior with silver lustre border inside rim. Heavily crazed pearlware glaze.
