Summary

Cylindrical mug with square angled strap handle made of white earthenware with pearlware blue glaze. Side opposite handle painted in black overglaze enamel with inscription 'Burdett / for ever' within leafy cartouche in black and metallic silver lustre. Small leafy sprays in black and silver on either side, black enamel band above foot, handle and rim edged in silver. Finely crazed glaze.
