Summary
Boy's dress with photograph. Blue ribbed cotton/wool with broadly spaced narrow white silk lines forming checks, lined with white cotton. Wide round neck. Fronts each in one bias section flaring to hem each side of centre opening held by five buttons below hips and fastening five hooks and worked bars above to neck edge, pleat at waist each side. Back in one bias section with three pleats at waist each sides (two undone) side seams box pleated below waist. Pocket (white cotton) below waist in right side seam. Short sleeve in one section, loose pointed oversleeve in one section beneath outer sleeve open at shoulder and points held by gilt buttons. Neck CF and sleeves trimmed with openwork frill All sleeve edgings bound with black velvet ribbon. Broad black velvet ribbon above hem up each side CF. Thirteen (one missing) oval gilt buttons down CF.
