Naaman
Summary
Scene of the healing of Naaman the leper, figure of Naaman, naked but for a cloth round his hips, standing in the waters of a river, his arms outstretched. Four men sitting on river bank to left looking at him in amazement, a fifth standing to his right. Two horses in the background to left. According to the Bible, Naaman was both a commander of the army of Syria and a leper. He is considered an example of God saving people generally considered unworthy of salvation.
