Summary

Baby's robe. White cotton. Wide neck with standing scalloped edging. Bodice front in one bias section, tapering CF panel of embroidered formal floral pattern worked mainly in satin stitch and openwork fillings, scalloped frill each side. Bodice back in one straight section each side of CB opening, gathered to neck under scalloped frill, and to narrow waistband embroidered with french knots. CB fastening with drawstring at neck an dwiast. Short sleeves in one bias section , turned back to from cuffs. Shoulder and cuffs at outer arm embroidered like bodice front, cuffs open at outer arm and laced with cord ending in tassles. Edges of sleeves scalloped. Skirt in two straight sections closely gathered to waist. CF towards hem embroidered with floral panel similar to that on bodice front, tapering towards top. Scalloped frill each side of CF. Scalloped hem.
