A Moonlight Idyll

Arthur Kynaston 1876 - 1919

Summary

A softly painted, hazy scene of a forest clearing lit up by the moon. A group of young women and children are sitting and kneeling together under the trees playing, the women wearing flowing brightly-coloured robes, the children naked. A large tree to the right provides most of their shade, and a narrow pathway to the left leads away from the clearing.
