Summary

Cream satin over canvas, embroidered in coloured silks, backed with cream silk. Top edge shaped in wide v, sides tapered and widening at base. Seamed down CF, seam open below centre, lower part of stomacher forming two squared tabs with rounded corners. Edges bound with silver ribbon, CF seam covered with silver ribbon, and trimmed with six buttons covered with silver thread, each at the base of wide V embroidered in silver thread, extra V embroidered below bottom button; whole stomacher embroidered with trailing green stems and leaves and pink flowers, worked mainly in long and short stitch and satin stitch, against couched meadnering lines of silver thread.
