Summary
Painted papier maché head and shoulders, kid hands and stuffed cloth body and legs. Face painted with black hair moulded into ringlets over cheeks, blue eyes and very pink cheeks. Cap: knitted white cotton frilled round cheeks. Necklace: double string of black beads. Dress: plain weave cotton printed with formal pattern chiefly in dark red and green on cream; wide low neck, high waist, and full skirt, sleeves very full at shoulder tapering to wrist, yellow ribbon sash, skirt lined with plain weave cotton. Petticoat: white plain weave cotton with two tucks round hem. Under-petticoat: cream flannel. Chemise: white plain weave linen.
