A "Badois" hat. Split straw and cotton. Lined with blue plain weave silk. Edged with grey-blue velvet ribbon. Edge of brim bound with velvet ribbon. Crown trimmed with 4 star-shaped motifs of ribbon with small white fabric flower in centre of each. 2 bands of blue silk ribbon pleated on to inside back, tying in large flat bow trimmed with 6 fabric flowers below brim edge, falling in 2 streamers.
