Summary

Split straw plait. Lined with white cotton satin. Brim narrow at sides, edged with strip of white satin ribbon between 2 strips of black twilled silk. Base of crown trimmed with wide band of twilled silk/satin, crumpled to varying depth, tied in bow at centre left and falling in streamer. Black elastic loop at either side with covered button on end.
