Summary

Black velvet. Lined with black silk satin striped in purple mauve and white. Top slightly larger than lining giving crumpled effect. Lower edge bound with black and white tartan glazed linen braid. Tartan rosette at centre front trimmed with 3-pronged metal buckle stamped with oak-leaf and acorn motif. White ostrich feather curving round right side from front to back. 2 tartan streamers, falling from centre back. Black elastic loop attached to either side.
