Cream silk, striped weave with shaded mauve stripe, lined with white cotton, trimmed with cream satin, low v-neck; fronts each in one section, gathered at shoulder and waist; back in one section gathered at waist; shoulder seam piped between two rows of stitching; long sleeves in one section, gathered and puffed at shoulder, gathered at outer arm below shoulder beneath plaited cord, tied in bow with netted tassel each end; wrist slightly gathered with ruched satin band between two horizontally pleated bias bands of cream satin and edged with pleated satin frill wtih bound edge; neck, front and waist edges faced with cream silk, trimmed with horizontally pleated bias strip; two double frills of cream satin round neck.
