Reddish-brown stiffened felt, brown plush, lined with black plain weave cotton. Crown in tall sugar-loaf shape, unstitched at top, extending at front into slightly down-turned brim. Draped band of plush across front brim and up centre front of crown, trimmed with feather clusters to left of centre front, in brown and scarlet.
