Summary

Black felt. Lined with black plain weave silk. Right and left side extend into wide triangular flaps with rounded points, bent back flush against crown. Brim very slightly turned up at centre front and back, bound with black petersham ribbon and faced with black velvet. Crown trimmed with band of black corded silk ribbon, crossed over itself at centre back and extending round to centre front, join covered by large self bow wired to stand upright above crown, trimmed with arrow of black glass beads on buckram to left of centre front.
