Display Label

Object That Fell Off The White Cliffs Of Dover 1992 Cornelia Parker (born 1956) This work was made by Cornelia Parker by dropping an Edwardian teapot off the chalk cliff of Dover. It has collected deposits of white chalk in the dents and cervices created as it fell down the cliff. The chalk is not fixed onto the teapot and will likely be lost over time as the object is handled for display. The artist enjoys transforming precious objects and heirlooms through destructive processes, rendering them useless or lessening their perceived value.
