Summary

Glossy blue raffia/grey-blue chip plait. Lined with black cotton net. Msall hour-glass shape with concave top, brim trimmed with black satin flowers, rosette of cream embroidered net at each side back, right side held by glass headed pin, khaki silk chiffon flower at left front and black silk chiffon flower at left back. Pale blue corded silk compound bow at left back, wired to stand upright with black feather, held by glass-headed pin. Black velvet ribbon strings, satin reverse, glass headed pin in left string. Lining built onto shallow hemispherical wire base, attached to hat at outer edge.
