Summary

Two pairs alike. Very pale pink silk machine knitted in stocking stitch, heels and toes thicker; white silk ribbon at top edge. Tops of double thickness; seam down CB; shaped for leg, toe, heel, seam each side of foot; instep and lower part of leg below calf embroidered with spots in pale pink silk, zigzag border at top of spots; "40" worked in openwork below tops.
