Summary

Horsehair and straw braid. Lined with white silk net. Crown built on to wire framework. Top of crown trimmed with 6 loops of straw braid with straw rosette in centre of each. Trimmed loops and rosettes of straw braid, eased on to smaller wire framework in corrugated pleats. Bow of mustard velvet ribbon at centre left of crown, joined by pleated ribbon to similar bow at brim back left, pleated ribbon crossing back and loosely surrounding crown. Base of crown trimmed with line of silk and velvet sweet peas in shades of pink. 2 mustard velvet bows at left underside of brim. Stiffened inside headband covered with draped net. Brim faced with pleated net and lace. Crown lined with net gathered up at centre. Tiny white silk bow at inside centre back.
