Summary

Long-haired black felt, black plain weave silk. Shallow round crown with concave top and sides sloping in. Deep brim curving down. Join of crown and brim trimmed with pinked band of silk, gathered along centre and caught to top of crown at intervals, falling in jagged points and half covering brim. Inside headband of navy velvet at inside front trimmed jagged silk band covering half of front brim, with stiffened navy velvet buckle at left side. Crown sides lined with black cotton satin.
