Summary

Black silk satin. Lined with black plain weave silk. Crown interlined with buckram. Centre front trimmed with geometrical pattern in appliqued black horsehair braid stitched into circles and concentric triangles. 3 bright orange flowers at left side, large pin with facetted clear glass head at right. Crown stitched down with large blue silk stitches on to wired and stiffened brim of very dark green velvet, slightly turned out and pointed to centre front, continuing to face underside.
