Summary
Very narrow wholestraw plait. Lined with orangey-brown plain weave silk. Turndown brim, turned up in straight line across back with U-shaped cutout in centre, corresponding with oval depression in back of crown, completely filled with fabric buttercup heads and edged with gathered flounce of dark brown cotton net falling over top of crown and projecting out on either side. Similar flounce falling over front and sides of brim, headed with line of buttercups.
