Summary

Very narrow pale grey raffia braid. Sewn spirally from centre of pudding-basin shaped crown, reverse material for lower part. Turnback brim, narrowing towards top to lie flush against crown. Band of scarlet velvet ribbon round front of crown, partially covered by top edge of brim, passing through hole in crown underneath brim at each side front and falling, then tied in large bow. Inside headband of mushroom silk.
