Woollands Bros.

Summary

Black silk plush and feathers. Small circular crown trimmed on sides with black feathers, plain black satin soft top. Sides stiffened with woven fibre, lined with black silk. Belonged to Heather Firbank (1888-1954), the daughter of the affluent MP, Sir Thomas Firbank. This garment came to the Gallery via the Victoria and Albert Museum, which has many others of her dresses.
