Summary
Glossy black and white raffia. Plaited from centre of convex round crown (white) with shallow straight sides, extended by white brim, turned up at back and down at front. Underside of brim faced with black raffia, wide black corded silk ribbon crossing brim from underside of centre back, twisted round right side of crown and formed into very large wired bow at centre front, 1 end passing through slit in brim and protruding over forehead, black petersham wide headband.
