Centrally Britannia offering two crowns on a cushion. Behind her two helmetted female figures representing Scotland & Ireland. Background, facing front, an archbishop with arms raised. Above hovers an angel with 2 long trumpets. At the foot of Britannia are her shield, a cornucopia, a palatte, a lyre, a square & a bust, symbolising plenty and the arts and the text "Crowned Sepr. 8th. 1831" Another version of the medal with different front is 1922.1459/3 B
