Summary

Black silk lined with white cotton with small check pattern in black. Cut with centre panel back and front and three shaped sections each side; band with double drawstring across CB; machine-stitched quilting in lower part of back and sides; front panel, with three triangular wings, sewn on one side and attached at opposite point, on each side; quilting in double, waving line of stitching divided by three horizontal puffed bands, headed by plain band, the lower ending in deep, pleated flounce in hem; pleats held in place by two mauve braids.
