Summary

Fine white linen, and white embroidered cotton back and front each in one linen section, opening at left fastening with two linen buttons; CB gathered with tape drawstrings; lace-edged muslin frill at hem, headed by piping; similar broader frill higher up, edged with broader lace and reaching hem; broad cotton frill above, made from earlier petticoat, attached above knees and extending to hem, headed by machine lace slotted for ribbon; three tucks near top of frill and openwork embroidery (broderie anglaise) below, and scalloped edge; tape label at opening inscribed "EP 3838 / 77.9.12 / Retd." and another "LP 35 11.9.12".
