Summary

White plain weave linen and black silk satin. Bodice, linen, very low round neck, fronts each in one piece extending round to side back, darted vertically for bust, front edges overlapping each other, back in one slightly shaped section, back and front connected by shoulder straps approx 4.5cm wide; long straight sleeves each in one section narrowing slightly to wrist, head pleated into shoulder; skirt, statin, in five widths (45cm, 17 3/4") of fabric, 21cm vent at each side front, fabric to front of vent forming falling front, turned under at top edge for 13cm ribbon string on each end next to small pleat; fabric to back of vent forming falling front, turned under at top edge for 13cm ribbon string on each end next to small pleat; fabric to back of vent, closely pleated on to tape waistband and attached to outside of bodice 7.5cm above lower edge and again just above.
