Summary

Two rectangular medallions with chamfered corners to give elongated octagonal shape. Both have polished bevelled edges and gilt metal frames with strapwork borders. 1906.67/2a depicts the 'Sale of Cupids' and a 'Sacrifice to Cupid' in white against a black dip, a white relief border of simple leaves separating this from outer border of plain sage green dip. 1906.67/2b depicts 'The Devotion of Marcus Curtius', a Roman soldier on a rearing horse leaping into a raging fire, in white against a green dip, with an applied lilac and white border.
