The Lark Ascending

Summary
A totem-like column made of three contrasting materials. A stack of eleven birds in flight, carved in oak, with their wings alternately raised and lowered, are mounted on a tall variegated alabaster pedestal, carved in a repeated double-cone form and highly polished. The whole is stood on a circular base in slate.
