Public: Two oval plaques, stoneware, solid blue jasper with darker blue dip and applied white relief decoration depicting 'The Marriage of Cupid and Psyche' and 'Sacrifice to Hymen'. Private: 1906.93/2a : Oval plaque of solid pale blue with darker blue dip on front. White relief depicting the marriage of Cupid and Psyche, bride and bridegroom standing together on the left, winged Psyche covered in a veil. Behind them stands a putto with curling wings, holding a basket of fruit aloft, before them the larger figure of Hymen, carrying a torch and leading them by a rope towards the marriage bed, uncovered by right hand putto. Six small firing holes on reverse. 1906.93/2b : Oval plaque of solid pale blue with dark blue dip on front. White relief depicting Sacrifice to Hymen (aka Cupids and Goat), two pairs of putti standing either side of sacrificial pedestal altar decorated with doves and festoons. One pair leads a goat by the horns towards the altar, the other pair carry a torch and trumpet between them. Small overturned vase on the ground by the altar. Four small firing holes on reverse.
