Summary

The girl on the right aged about fifteen years old is standing with her arm on the shoulder of the older girl, who is seated, and agged about eighteen years old. The younger firl wears a dark long jacket and skirt. The jacket is trimmed iwth black on the cuffs and collar, and has large black buttons. White cuffs show beneath the jacket sleeves. At the neck the collar is trimmed with lace, and there is a bow pinned beneath the collar. Her hair is long and pinned beneath the colar. her hairs is long and pinned back, and falls loose down her back. She wears earrings, a gold neck chain, and a ring. Her boots are dark, and laced up to mid-calf, with white stockings under them. The older girl is seated on a chari with long tassels (the same one as in 2008.40.3.1 and 2008.40.3.2 etc). Her long hair is in a plait on top of her head. She wears a long sleeved striped dress which reaches to knee length and under this is a long skirt of a mid tone The dress has broad bands of light trimming, dark bodice lacing, and a white lace collar, pinned with an oval brooch, with a bow below it. She wears dangling earrings, and a ring on her right index finger.
