The bodice fastens centre front with buttons to a high neck with a standing collar trimmed with ribbon. The infant in her arms is wearing a long cotton dress with long sleeves and a lace collar, worn with stockings and frilly drawers.. The little girl has wavy hair half tied up with a ribbon, she is wearing a cotton knee length dress with 3.4 length sleeves trimmed with lace. Her dress is pleated centre front into a waistband with a high round neck. Worn with white stockings and leather shoes with ankle straps. the woman and children are possibly seated on a chaise longue with a fur throw draped over it. Plain studio wall in the background.
