Pembroke Castle
Richard Wilson (after) 1714 - 1782
Summary
Rural landscape looking across a river towards the ruins of Pembroke Castle, Wales. The river runs towards a triple-arched bridge and a town in the distance; a church on the right bank beside the ruin. Two small sailing boats travel along the river, and on the left side of the bank figures gather on a rocky outcrop lined with trees. The sky is covered in cloud, casting hazy shadows over the scene.
