Summary

A view along a village lane at Grassington, Cumbria, with a single cottage on either side, one on the extreme right in the foreground and another on the left further along the lane. There is a steep hillside behind the left hand cottage, and a pathway before the cottage leading up to a hilly garden behind. The artist uses muted colours and broad brushstrokes to paint this green landscape, framed by trees along the background hill.
