Summary

Public: Press-moulded wall pocket in the form of a cornucopia. Cream coloured earthenware body with a relief-moulded songbird perched amongst flowering branches sponged with manganese blue-black, yellow, green and blue underglaze oxides. Private: Press-moulded wall pocket in the form of a cornucopia, lower body twisted to the right, terminating in curve to the left. Broad fan-shaped upper body with relief-moulded songbird perched amongst flowering branches, beneath moulded rim of flowers, scrolls and scallop shells. Flat side on reverse with two holes pierced at the top for suspension. Cream coloured earthenware body sponged with manganese blue-black, bird picked out in yellow, flowers and rim in green, blue and yellow, colours bleeding into lead glaze, plain mottled blue-black on reverse side.
