Summary
Public: Mug in the form of a cornucopia with relief-moulded female mask and laurel wreath. White earthenware, painted in brown, green, blue and yellow ochre with commemorative inscription and flowering stem, beneath pearlware glaze. Private: Mug in the form of a cornucopia, with wide circular body curving into base on oval spreading foot, and tapering upward to form handle terminating in coiled scroll. Fluted body with relief-moulded straps across middle, female mask and laurel wreath on side opposite handle and narrow border of fruit and leaves beneath flared rim. Cream coloured earthenware body painted in high temperature underglaze colours with inscription 'PEACE & PLENTY' in yellow ochre across foot within narrow blue band, and with undulating flowering stem in ochre, green and blue along back of handle. Moulded laurel wreath picked out in green and brown, fruiting border enclosed within blue bands. Tight pearlware glaze, pooling slightly in well.
