Summary

Four-lobed baluster shaped cream jug tapering to four-lobed oval spreading foot, with everted rim and high projecting lip, relief-moulded Rococo scrollwork loop handle. Body relief-moulded with deep cartouches of scrollwork and shells on either side, containing diamond trelliswork ground, smaller cartouche on side beneath lip. Relief-moulded scrollwork borders to foot and neck. Greyish-white salt-glazed stoneware with tiny flecks of brown.
