Summary

Public: Figure group comprising shepherd and shepherdess seated on a rock with bird cage, lamb and bird. Plain cream coloured earthenware with pearlware glaze. Private: Figure group comprising shepherd and shepherdess seated together on tall rocky outcrop, shepherd to right holding a birdcage on his lap, shepherdess slightly lower to left, holding one arm aloft. Tree stump between them at the back with applied bocage leaves, stream falling down over rocks beneath their feet, lamb to right and duck to left on grass below. Pale cream coloured earthenware with finely crazed blue pearlware glaze, pooling in crevices.
