Summary

A view along a winding country road, lined with old and gnarled trees. In the foreground to right, a shepherd sits at the side of the road with a dog at his feet and a long crook resting over one shoulder. Three sheep graze at the edge of a small pool on the opposite side of the road to the left. Further along the road two travellers are walking away into the distance.
