Old Skelwith Bridge, Ambleside
Cuthbert Cartwright Grundy 1846 - 1946
Summary
A view of a double arched stone bridge over a wide calm river, near Ambleside in the Lake District. Dark treetops form a horizon in the background, and a large tree overhangs the river in the foreground to the left. The right hand side of the bridge is covered with ivy, and grasses and rocks protrude in the foreground through the shallow river.
