Summary

Black uncut velvet, trimmed metal thread and spangle braid, lined black twilled silk (lining very worn) fronts in one section, fastening to round neck, with narrow shaped band, with three hooks and eyes, curving away slightly to sides; pocket, white linen, below waist level each side, with shaped flap; back in two shaped sections, side seams pleated and open below waist; two centre back of skirt seamed at waist, centre open below waist, pleat at side back skirt seams; long sleeves in two shaped sections, lined white linen and cotton, with turnback cuffs; front edges to pocket level, cuffs, pocket flaps, and top of centre back skirt slit, trimmed sequin-covered buttons surrounded by tassels of silver cord and sequins, and with silver thread and spangles imitating buttonholes and bows; three similar tassels below each pocket flap, one at top of side pleating, one catching it together at hem and another halfway.
