Summary

Waistcoat with fronts in deep rose-pink satin, embroidered; front and bottom edges faced crimson, back of collar and concealed flap with buttonholes down left front edge crimson satin; back and lining white cotton fronts fastening with twelve buttons and buttonholes to 17.5 cm below round neck with standing collar; straight waistline; slit pocket,white cotton,at waist each side; back in two sections,waistline rising to centre,two pairs tape ties at waist; small floral sprigs embroidered over front in white,green and black silks worked in satin stitch and stem stitch; neck, front, bottom and pocket edges outlined in black silk chain stitch, and with scalloped border of net applique and flowers worked mainly in green and white silks.
