Summary

Impressionistic painting depicting a rural idyll in Cornwall. A sunlit wooded pathway through the trees leads down to unseen Lamorna Cove. Trees to either side of the path conjoin forming a canopy overhead, through which dappled sunlight falls in the foreground, a hillside is just visible in the distance through the trees, with a single stone gatepost in the foreground to the left. The paintwork is applied in a thick, impasto style with much focus on the vibrancy of the natural scene, including many colours from yellow, pink to brown.
