Summary

Public: Pear shaped cream jug with sparrow beak lip, white earthenware with pearlware glaze, painted overglaze in green, yellow, blue, pink, red and black enamels with scene of Chinese figures. Private: Pear shaped cream jug on tapered footring, with sparrow beak lip, everted rim and strap loop handle. Painted on either side with Chinoiserie garden scenes, each comprising different arrangement of man, woman and child standing in fenced garden, woman picking flowers. Simple painted border inside rim of straight and scalloped bands and groups of three spots in red.
