Summary

A salt cellar of shallow bowl form standing on three feet with metal mounts to the rim. Enamel on metal and painted in colours round the sides with three panels of pastoral landscapes each depicting two sheep sitting on a grassy mound with various backgrounds of trees, a cottage and a shepherd. All panels are within raised gilt scroll borders on a pink ground decorated with groups of raised dots in gold. The inside of the bowl has a white ground.
