Summary

Half-length portrait of Lady Gordon. The subject sits looking towards the viewer with her body turned to the left. Her right arm is held up to her face, and her left rests on her lap. She wears a lace cap upon her dark hair, and a lavish dress with brown bodice trimmed with lace collar and cuffs. A long drape and tassel can be seen above the subject to the left.
